A Message from your ACHE Rhode Island Chapter President

To ACHE RI Colleagues,

As we round out year two of the Covid-19 pandemic, I’d like to express my gratitude for your outstanding leadership to preserve the health and well-being of the Rhode Island community despite the numerous unprecedented healthcare challenges we experienced from significant healthcare staffing shortages that continues to worsen every day, supply chain shortages, two Covid-19 variants, rising operational costs, high census, etc. As healthcare leaders, we continue to rise to meet these extraordinary challenges and remain resilient adapting to the everchanging disruptions in healthcare.

Please join me in congratulating Mark Johnson, FACHE as the new Rhode Island ACHE Regent, Mark will officially be appointed to Regent at ACHE’s Congress on Healthcare Leadership in March 2022. Mark’s passion, energy and commitment to the mission and vision of ACHE is remarkable, we wish him well in his new role. On behalf of the ACHE board, a heartfelt thanks to Jennifer Tomasik as Rhode Island ACHE Regent for her service, talent, leadership and dedication to ACHE-RI chapter and is much appreciated by our members.

Even though the Delta and Omicron variants derailed our ability to move forward with in-person events in 2021, it did not prevent us from continuing to offer virtual events providing face-to-face (F2F) credit that kept many of us connected and engaged. A special thanks to the esteemed panelists and moderators who came together virtually for these events. I am looking forward to connecting with all of you again face-to-face in 2022!!
